I went back in
time 150 million years and recorded this
with binaural microphones. Two sauropods are
talking to each other across a lake while
many other dinosaurs occasionally call out.
Three at once start out the recording.

"Two Days
On Triton"
1:02
I made this
when I was on Triton, Neptune's largest
moon, in 2085 AD. It is time-lapse (3000x
real-time) looking West, 99 km West of
Mahilani Plume, over the course of two
Triton days (about 12 days Earth-time).
Because of certain aspects of Triton's tilt
and rotation and because of its orbital
inclination of 157° up above and down below
Neptune in retrograde, from this vantage
point Neptune seems to set and then rise
over and over in a loop with moons spinning
round it going the opposite way we are.
You'll see two peeks of our distant sun on
the right. The galaxy, our Milky Way, goes
by in the background twice. Music is from a
2007 piece titled "Lives of the Bloated Gas
Giant Suns". Made using Starry Night Pro 4.
